The Indian fashion sector is moving at an incredible pace. Think brand new and innovative collections, evolving retail formats, new emerging consumer tastes and choices and expanding distribution networks. They all continue to shape the way how fashion brands engage with the market. Within the same landscape, the need for more meaningful industry platforms has become more important than ever. Especially platforms where brands can present their work with sincere clarity, where buyers can directly engage with decision makers and where business conversations are productive and happen with purpose.
This was the exact same thinking behind CMAI TrendHaus 2026.
The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI) envisioned a focused industry exhibition where leading fashion brands and buyers could come together and meet within a curated environment built around discovery, interaction and business outcomes. Although the idea was simple in principle, the execution demanded a lot. Because, such a platform needed a strong and relatable brand identity, clear positioning and a coherent experience from the very first point of communication to the final moment inside the exhibition hall.
To bring this vision to life, CMAI partnered with Greysell, one of the best advertising agencies in Mumbai. When we came on board as the strategic partner, we were responsible for shaping the exhibition’s identity, communication framework and marketing collaterals. The mandate expanded from the earliest stage of the brand to building a visual language and creating the marketing ecosystem that would support the exhibition implicitly.
The project required a seamless combination of strategic thinking, creative clarity and executional precision. Every element had to align with the purpose of the exhibition while speaking directly to the fashion industry audience it intended to serve.
Defining the Identity
Every exhibition becomes well-known thanks to a strong and clear identity. FOR CMAI’s new platform, the identity had to reflect energy, modernity and the spirit of the Indian fashion industry.
The first step was to craft a name for the platform.
Based on the words ‘Trend’ and ‘House’, our team crafted the name TrendHaus. Here, ‘Trend’ represents the constant evolution of design, style and consumer expression. ‘Haus’ evokes the concept of a fashion house, a place where creativity and craftsmanship come together. Combined, the name created a distinctive identity for the exhibition designed to bring the entire industry together under one roof.
Needless to say, the name carried personality. It sounded contemporary, memorable and relevant to a platform that intended to showcase forward-looking collections while enabling serious business conversations.
Once the name was established, our attention shifted to building an authentic visual identity.
The logo drew inspiration from the structure of Indian textiles. Parallel lines, reminiscent of fabric threads, were used to form the word TrendHaus. These lines represented movement, patterns and layering, the same elements that sit at the heart of garment design. The visual language captured the rhythm of Indian fabrics while maintaining an aesthetic which suited to a contemporary exhibition.
The result was an identity that felt rooted in the heritage of Indian textiles while projecting the modern dynamism of the fashion industry.
Crafting a Communication System
After cementing the foundation of the brand with a name and logo, our next challenge was to make a communication system that was consistent across every point of interaction that was required by an exhibition of this scale.
We designed the same that carried the TrendHaus identity across all mediums.
Digital and emailer invitations introduced the exhibition to the target audience and set the tone for the platform. Social media content amplified awareness and maintained engagement in the lead up to the event. Videos, display creatives and marketing assets helped shape the narrative around TrendHaus as a focused platform for fashion business.
We ensured that our objective did not swerve away across each of these touchpoints as buyers and brands needed to understand the intent of the exhibition from the very beginning. Every piece of communication, therefore, served a specific role in building familiarity and anticipation.
Equally important was the transparency of information. Our well-designed communication framework helped visitors navigate the event long before they arrive at the venue. All in all, our messaging remained straightforward, the visuals cohesive and the experience intuitive.
Bringing the Identity to Life Inside the Event
While digital communication shapes perception, the real test of this exhibition lied within the physical space where brands and buyers were going to meet.
The TrendHaus identity was designed to extend seamlessly into the exhibition environment. Directional graphics, display elements and venue branding followed the same visual language established in earlier communication. Visitors who entered the venue encountered a consistent identity across every touchpoint.
This consistency also played a key role in shaping the experience inside the exhibition hall.
Participating fashion brands occupied spaces that ranged from 4,500 square feet to 30,000 square feet. Each expansive space allowed the brands to present their collections in a comprehensive and immersive manner.
Eleven prominent fashion brands participated in the inaugural edition: Classic Polo, Easies by Killer, Gini & Jony, Indian Terrain, Integriti, Jr. Killer, Nostrum, Spykar, Status Quo and Twills presented their collections to visiting buyers from across the country. Each pavilion reflected the brand’s character while remaining part of the broader TrendHaus environment.
Creating Meaningful Industry Engagement
The success of an exhibition ultimately depends on the quality of engagement it brings to the table.
CMAI TrendHaus brought together thousands of industry professionals, including decision makers, retailers and buyers who represented a wide cross section of the Indian fashion retail ecosystem.
Within the exhibition halls, dialogue moved naturally between collection previews, design discussions and business negotiations. Buyers had the opportunity to engage directly with brand teams and understand upcoming product lines in detail.
Such interactions were central to the growth of the Indian fashion industry. TrendHaus, by itself, created an environment where these exchanges happen organically.
The presence of beautifully presented pavilions, clear navigation and thoughtful venue branding helped facilitate this process. Visitors were able to move through the space, explore collections and connect with the brands that interested them comfortably.
When the inaugural edition concluded, it was clear to us that CMAI TrendHaus 2026 had achieved its objective.
The exhibition brought together leading fashion brands and buyers within a unified platform designed around industry engagement. Brands were able to present their Autumn-Winter collections with clarity and scale. Buyers had the freedom to explore upcoming offerings and engage directly with decision makers.
For us at Greysell, the project represented an opportunity to apply uncommon strategic thinking and creative discipline to a platform intended for the fashion community.
From crafting the exhibition’s name to designing its identity and shaping the communication ecosystem, we played a central role in translating CMAI’s vision into a tangible experience.
The result was an amazing event that resonated with its audience and showcased the value of thoughtful design and planning in the context of industry events.
CMAI TrendHaus 2026 now stands as an elite platform for the Indian fashion industry. For Greysell, the journey from concept to the exhibition has reinforced a simple belief: when identity, strategy and experience move in the same direction, an idea can evolve into a platform that the industry recognizes and embraces for years to come.
